ECC Women's Tennis Report - Week Four

 

Player and Rookie of the Week

Mina Randjelovic, D’Youville
Freshman | Paracin, Spain

Randjelovic went 4-0 over the course of two matches for the Saints this weekend. On Saturday, she collected a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles and 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles against Shippensburg. On Sunday, Randjelovic earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles and 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles against East Stroudsburg. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Celia Bastin, District of Columbia
Junior | Dinant, Belgium

Bastin went 2-0 in a 1-0 week for UDC. She teamed up with Polina Zelenstova to win, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles before going on to battle Chloe Abramowitz to a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 victory at at No. 2 singles.

Zoe Gietmann, Daemen
Freshman | Hamburg, Germany

Gietmann went 2-0 in Daemen’s non-conference victory over SUNY Fredonia, winning No. 3 doubles with teammate Lily Goodemote, 6-3, and winning No. 3 singles over Gabriella Farr, 6-1, 6-0. 

Yuliia Kashtelian, D’Youville    
Senior | Lviv, Ukraine

Kashtelian combined to go 4-0 in two matches for the Saints this weekend. On Saturday, she recorded a 6-0 win at No. 1 and a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles against Shippensburg. On Sunday, she won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles and claimed a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles against East Stroudsburg.

Polina Zelentsova, District of Columbia    
Sophomore | Chaiky, Ukraine

Zelenstova went 2-0 in a 1-0 week for UDC at the No. 1 position for both singles and doubles. In the Firebirds’ 4-3 win over Millersville, Zelenstova teamed up with Celia Bastin to cruise to a 6-1 doubles win. She then went on to defeat Hui Jen Soo in a three-set affair, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
