COLONIA, N.J. – The East Coast Conference has announced the dates and sites of its 2024-25 championships schedule.
The ECC will conduct 20 conference championships, all of which will be broadcast for free on the ECC Network and will be made available at www.eccsportsnetwork.com and on a free app on Apple and Android mobile devices and on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku devices.

Women's Tennis - Oct. 25-26
The ECC's 2024-25 championship slate begins with the Women's Tennis Championship at the tournament's traditional home, the Queens College Tennis Center, on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26. The last three championships have featured the same four teams as Daemen, District of Columbia, Queens, and St. Thomas Aquinas have battled for the tournament title and, with that, the automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Championship. St. Thomas Aquinas has won the last two ECC titles (2022, 2023) over Queens, but the Knights have appeared in each of the last five championship matches, with a pair of their own titles (2019, 2020).
Men's and Women's Cross Country - Oct. 26
For the first time in conference history, the Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship will be held at Bassett Park in Williamsville, N.Y., hosted by Daemen on Saturday, Oct. 26. The meet was previously held at Matt St. James Cross Country Trails for the last three years, home of the eight-time ECC defending champion Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's cross country programs. Daemen is the multi-year defending runner-up - three times on the women's side and twice on the men's.
Women's Soccer - Nov. 6, 9, 16
The Women's Soccer Championship begins with First Round competition on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Semifinal play will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, with the title game set for Saturday, Nov. 16 at the highest remaining seed. Defending champion Molloy has won three of the last four titles and did it in underdog fashion last fall, defeating No. 1 Roberts Wesleyan in the semifinals and No. 2 Daemen in the final as the No. 4 seed.
Men's Soccer - Nov. 7, 10, 17
In the same format as the women's, the Men's Soccer Championship begins with the First Round on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Semifinal play follows on Sunday, Nov. 10 at the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds while the title game is slated for Sunday, Nov. 17 at the highest remaining seed. Queens will enter the fall as the ECC's defending champion after claiming its first-ever tournament title with a 1-0 victory as the No. 3 seed over No. 4 District of Columbia last year.
Women's Volleyball - Nov. 22-23
The fall championship schedule concludes with the Women's Volleyball Championship on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23. The No. 1 seed will host the four-team tournament in its home gymnasium. Daemen is the three-time defending tournament and regular season champion and has won 35 consecutive ECC regular season matches dating back to Nov. 10, 2019.
Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field - Feb. 16
The winter championships begin with the Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, Feb. 16 to be held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. for the ninth consecutive year. The Holy Family men and Felician women took home the team titles last year. Roberts Wesleyan and Molloy finished second and third on the men's side, while District of Columbia and Roberts Wesleyan went 2-3 for the women.
Men's and Women's Basketball - Mar. 5, 8, 9
The month of March brings the Men's and Women's Basketball Championships. First Round action for both tournaments begins on Wednesday, Mar. 5 on the home courts of the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The semifinals and finals are slated for Saturday, Mar. 8 and Sunday, Mar. 9 at the No. 1 seeds. St. Thomas Aquinas is the five-time defending men's champion while Daemen has won the last three women's titles.
Women's Bowling - Mar. 21-23
The three-day event begins on Friday, Mar. 21 and concludes on Sunday, Mar. 23, with the site to be announced at a later date. Mercyhurst won the last two titles, but with their departure to the Northeast Conference, the field is open for a new champion in 2024-25. Bryant, Molloy, and Adelphi are the tournament's most recent runners-up.
Esports - DATE TBA
The ECC will host an Esports Championship for League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 3v3 and 1v1, with both the date and site to be announced at a later date. Southern New Hampshire (Overwatch 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Crew), Staten Island (Rocket League), Mount Saint Mary (Erik Albanese, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 1v1), Valorant (Utica), and Farmingdale State (League of Legends) all earned titles at last year's championship.
Men's Volleyball - Apr. 18-19
The ECC spring championship schedule kicks off with the Men's Volleyball Championship on Friday, Apr. 18 and Saturday, Apr. 19, when the No. 1 seed will host the four-team tournament in its home gymnasium. In the ECC's inaugural men's volleyball season last year, St. Thomas Aquinas won both the ECC regular season and tournament title. The ECC's four teams - Roberts Wesleyan, St. Thomas Aquinas, and associate members American International and Dominican - will compete for the trophy again this spring.
Men's Tennis - Apr. 25-26
The Men's Tennis Championship will be held at the tournament's traditional home, the Queens College Tennis Center. The three-team field will see the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds play on Friday, Apr. 25, with the winner advancing to face the No. 1 seed on Saturday, Apr. 26. Two-time defending champion Queens has won six of the last seven titles while St. Thomas Aquinas has faced Queens in the last five finals, winning in 2022.
Men's Lacrosse - Apr. 30, May 3
The following week is the busiest of the year with champions crowned in the sports of men's lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track and field, and softball.
The Men's Lacrosse Championship begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, Apr. 30 at the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds while the final is set for Saturday, May 3 at the highest remaining seed. Mercy has won the last five ECC titles along with 37 consecutive games against ECC opponents.
Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field - May 1
Roberts Wesleyan will host the Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, May 1. The two-time defending champion Redhawk men have claimed three titles in the last four years while District of Columbia took home last year's women's trophy, snapping Roberts Wesleyan's streak of eight consecutive championship tiles.
Softball - May 1-3
The double-elimination Softball Championship will run from Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3, with all three dates of competition to be played at the No. 1 seed. St. Thomas Aquinas is the two-time defending champion while Molloy has been runner-up in each of the last three seasons.
Women's Lacrosse - May 7, May 10
The Women's Lacrosse Championship begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, May 7 at the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds while the highest remaining seed will host the final on Saturday, May 10. Roberts Wesleyan enters 2025 as the defending champion while Mercy has played in the last seven finals, winning three during that run.
Baseball - May 8-10
The double-elimination Baseball Championship will run from Thursday, May 8 through Saturday, May 10 at Sal Maglie Stadium, hosted by D'Youville in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Defending champion Molloy won its third title in the last four years last spring while, in its first year of NCAA postseason eligibility, D'Youville finished as the runner-up.
