WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – With a 5-1 conference record, Queens men’s tennis has earned the 2024 ECC regular-season title and, with that, the top seed for this weekend’s ECC Men’s Tennis Championship at the Queens Tennis Bubble in Flushing, N.Y. First-serve comes on Friday, April 26 with two semifinal matchups, with the winners advancing to the championship match on Saturday, April 27.

Entering the weekend as the No. 1 seed, defending champion Queens (12-6, 5-1 ECC) has appeared in each of the last nine conference finals, winning five titles over the last six tournaments, including a 4-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas last spring for the Knights’ ninth ECC Championship in program history. The Knights came out on top in conference play this spring with a pair of wins over both St. Thomas Aquinas and Daemen and a split with District of Columbia.
No. 4 seed Daemen (5-14, 0-6 ECC) will face Queens in Friday’s first semifinal. The Wildcats fell to the Knights twice during the regular season, 7-0, 7-0.
No. 2 seed St. Thomas Aquinas enters tournament play with a record of 13-6 (4-2 ECC). The Spartans have reached the last four conference finals, capturing their first-ever ECC Championship with a 4-0 victory over Queens in 2022.
Facing St. Thomas Aquinas in Friday's second semifinal will be No. 3 seed District of Columbia (11-8, 3-3 ECC). The Firebirds fell to the Spartans twice during the regular season, 7-0, 5-2. UDC had a three-year run of reaching the conference finals from 2011-13.
Friday afternoon's semifinal and Saturday's final will be streamed live on the ECC Network. The broadcasts will mainly focus on the No. 1 flight in both doubles and singles but will switch to other courts when possible throughout the match.
The winner of the ECC Men's Tennis Championship will face off against the winner of the CACC Men's Tennis Championship (April 27/30) next Saturday, May 4. The winner will earn the conference's AQ to the NCAA Tournament.
