Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Ryan Karker, Roberts Wesleyan
Graduate Student | Greece, N.Y.
Karker won the 1500m (3:52.85) and placed 11th in the 800m elite race (1:50.96) at the Paul Donahue Invitational. His 1500m performance ranks second in both the ECC and NCAA East Region this spring while his 800m performance met the NCAA DII provisional standard, leads the ECC and the NCAA East Region, and ranks No. 2 all-time at Roberts Wesleyan.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Jayden Bennermon, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | Jumps | Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Bennermon won the high jump (1.95m) and triple jump (14.74m) events and placed third in the long jump (6.75m) at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last weekend. His triple jump mark met the NCAA DII provisional standard, leads the ECC and ranks third in the NCAA East Region, and stands as a new STAC program record.
Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Tukey Francis, District of Columbia
Sophomore | St Ann, Jamaica
Among Division I competition, Francis dropped two ECC-leading marks at the Annual Legacy Track & Field Meet. In the 200m, the UDC sophomore ran a 200m PR of 24.71, good for 12th in a field of 53 and first among all DII finishers; that performance ranks third in the NCAA East Region. She then ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay that placed second against six DI programs, defeating St. Peter’s, Towson’s A and B relays, Delaware State and NJIT. That relay leads the ECC and ranks second in the NCAA East.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Brynn King, Roberts Wesleyan
Graduate Student | Pole Vault | The Woodlands, Texas
King won the pole vault and broke the 13-year old record at the Kansas Relays last week. The RWU standout cleared the NCAA DII provisional standard of 4.51m (14’ 9 1/2”) and defeated five pole vaulters from DI Kansas, unattached pole vaulter Virginia Scardanza, and Doane’s Kaylee Pribyl, bronze medalist from this year’s NAIA Indoor Tack & Field Championships.

Men's
Steven Elcock, Staten Island
Sophomore | Sprints | Baldwin, N.Y.
Elcock set a new CSI program record at the Rider Invitational with his performance in the 400m this past weekend. His time of 50.35 was not only the best in program history for the Dolphins, but it was also good for sixth in a field of 58 runners. Elcock currently ranks fourth in the ECC for the 400m this season.
John Jaworski, Daemen
Graduate Student | Sprints/Jumps | Naperville, Ill.
Jaworski posted a Daemen program record and placed second in the 200m and also placed third in the 100m at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational. Jaworski, who tied the program record for the 200m last week with a time of 22.59 seconds, set the program record with a time of 22.33 seconds. He placed second out of 30 sprinters overall and first among the 23 collegiate entrants. The record was originally set by Ethan Majewski at the 2019 Dave Labor Invitational. In the 100m, Jaworski qualified for the finals after placing third out of 17 sprinters in the preliminary round with a personal best time of 11.09 seconds, which ranks as the third best time in program history. He would place third among eight sprinters in the finals with a time of 11.22 seconds, which ranks as the seventh best time in program history. His 200m time ranks seventh in the ECC, while his 100m time ranks eighth.
Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior | Throws | West Haverstraw, N.Y.
Mena Jimenez won the hammer throw (57.75m), placed second in the discus (47.72m), and finished fifth in the shot put (13.48m) at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last weekend. His hammer throw mark of 57.75m met the NCAA DII provisional standard and leads both the ECC and NCAA East Region this spring.
Demar Osbourne, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Throws | Fairport, N.Y.
Osbourne won the shot put (13.95m) and placed fourth in the discus (36.37m, seventh in the ECC) at the RIT Invitational.
John Ray, Queens
Junior | Bellerose, N.Y.
Competing in the Jack Maloney Invitational, Ray won the 3000m (9:12.40) and placed second in the 5000m (16:04.73).
Women's
Emmanuela Katou Kouami, District of Columbia
Sophomore | Throws | Bronx, N.Y.
Kouami had a meet of personal records, hitting ECC-leading marks in both the hammer throw and discus throw at the Annual Legacy Track & Field meet. Kouami placed seventh in a field of 16 in the hammer throw with a UDC program record of 44.88m and went on to drop another UDC program record in the discus throw with a mark of 42.42m to place fifth in a field of 24. The UDC sophomore’s discus throw leads the NCAA East Region while her hammer throw ranks third.
Zoe Merryman, St. Thomas Aquinas
Long Distance | Freshman | Mahwah, N.J.
Merryman placed third in both the 800m (2:30.29) and the 3000m (11:09.44) at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last weekend.
Kylee Odell, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Middle Distance | Panama, N.Y.
Odell placed sixth in the 1500m elite race (4:35.36) and ninth in the 800m open race (2:17.46) at the Paul Donahue Invitational. Her 1500m performance leads the ECC and ranks second in the NCAA East while her 800m finish also leads the ECC and ranks fourth in the NCAA East.
Khareena Primus, Queens
Senior | St. Andrew, Grenada
Competing in the Jack Maloney Invitational, Primus's team placed second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:20.44. Primus would conclude her weekend with two individual wins, claiming the 100m (12.74) and 200m (26.73) titles.
Lydia Smith, D’Youville
Senior | Middle Distance/Jumps | Williamsport, Pa.
Smith placed second and set a new personal record in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:32.65, which leads the ECC this spring.
Emily Strunk, St. Thomas Aquinas
Junior | Throws | Stroudsburg, Pa.
Strunk won the shot put (13.14m) and placed fourth in the discus (31.01m) at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last weekend.
Hannah Thomas, Daemen
Graduate Student | Distance | Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Thomas placed third out 28 runners in the 800m at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational with a personal-best time of 2:20.89, eclipsing her previous-best time of 2:21.07 she set at this same event last year. Her time today ranks as the second best in program history, behind only the program record of 2:19.62 set by Hannah Rice at the 2015 ROC City Classic. It also sits fourth in the ECC this spring.
Raechel Zielinski, D’Youville
Senior | Hamburg, N.Y.
Zielinski placed second and set a new personal record in the 400m with a time of 1:02.28 at the UB Alumni Invitational. Zielinski set a new personal record and finished fourth in the 1500m with a time of 4:44.61. Her 1500m time ranks second in the ECC this spring.
