WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference women’s bowling All-Conference award winners were announced at the 2024 ECC Women’s Bowling Championship on Friday afternoon. Mercyhurst graduate student Samantha Strebel (Harrisville, Utah) and freshman Delaney Rossette (Columbus, Ohio) were named Bowler of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively, while Bryant’s Morgan Walsh took home the Coach of the Year honor for the Bulldogs.

A four-time ECC weekly honoree this year, Strebel led the conference in the NTCA’s Player Composite Performance Index at 94.5 percent. She also led the ECC with a 19.98 baker frame average, 8.97 average first ball sum, and 82 percent makable spare percentage. This marks Strebel’s second Bowler of the Year honor of her career after taking home the recognition two years ago. 

A three-time ECC weekly honoree during the season, Rossette had the highest overall frame average of any ECC rookie at 18.59, ranking ninth overall. She also ranked third in the league in traditional strike percentage at 44.3 percent, fifth in individual strike percentage at 43.7 percent, and seventh in the league in traditional frame average at 18.67. 

Leading her team to 34 wins, including multiple victories over nationally-ranked programs, the ECC Women's Bowling Coach of the Year is Morgan Walsh from Bryant. 

Joining Strebel on the First Team are Kutztown’s Madison Brenneman and Chloe Sromovski, Bryant’s Laura Clark, and Daemen’s Mollie Gizicki. 

Second Team picks include Rossette and Mercyhurst teammate Arianna Clouse, Bryant’s Olivia Hillman, Molloy’s Jessica Pinelli, and Roberts Wesleyan’s Mykenzie Burnett while Third Team selections include Adelphi’s Blanca Fraticelli, Bryant’s Abby Unson, Daemen’s Caitlyn Nowak, and D’Youville’s Megan Kapsiak and Makayla Pasierb.
