WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – St. Thomas Aquinas sophomore guard/forward James Patterson was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) First Team, while Daemen senior guard Dylan Fasoyiro landed on the Second Team.

Patterson helped lead the Spartans to their fourth straight ECC Regular Season title, fifth consecutive ECC Tournament crown and ninth straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2023-24, all while averaging 23.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. In recognition of his extraordinary season, the sophomore guard/forward from Richmond, Va. was most recently named the East Coast Conference Player of the Year and a First Team All-Conference member.

Patterson was also named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 100, 50 and 25 Watch Lists, a nine-time ECC Player of the Week and a three-time Met Basketball Writer's Player of the Week. In addition, he scored his 1,000th career point on February 16, 2024 at Daemen University.

Fasoyiro is in his second season at Daemen after transferring from Ashland University. Despite missing six games due to a hand injury, he still managed to lead the team in total points (452) and ranks second in three-pointers (63). A one-time ECC Player of the Week selection, he started 26 of 32 games this year and is averaging a team-high 17.4 points per game. He has scored in double figures in 22 of 26 games and has netted 20 or more points 13 times this season. He also leads the team in field goal percentage (.482) and ranks third in rebounds per game (4.6).

Among the ECC leaders Fasoyiro ranks fourth in points per game, 25th in rebounds per game, fifth in field goal percentage, fifth in three pointers made, eighth in free throw percentage (.758) and 17th in both blocks (16) and steals (29). After scoring just 23 points during his two seasons at Ashland, he has racked up 826 points in 54 games (15.3 ppg) at Daemen. He is the younger brother of Sean Fasoyiro, who was a two-time All-ECC pick for ther Wildcats and earned ECC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021-22.
