ECC Men's Volleyball Report - Week 10

Player of the Week

Robert Santana, American International
Sophomore | Juncos, Puerto Rico
Santana led AIC to its first-ever ECC win on Saturday. He scored a match-best 12 kills and eight digs as the Yellow Jackets swept Roberts Wesleyan.

Michael Maldonado, American International
Sophomore | Setter | Guynabo, Puerto Rico
Maldonado's strong setting was key in AIC's first-ever ECC victory. In a sweep of Roberts Wesleyan, the AIC sophomore earned 27 assists, as well as a kill and a pair of aces. He also contributed three digs in the win.

Rookie of the Week

Paul Fillion, Roberts Wesleyan
Freshman | Middle | Greece, N.Y.
Fillion helped lead the Redhawks’ offense with 25 kills and a .500 attack percentage over a three-game stretch to go with three aces, nine digs, and five block assists.

Junior | Outside Hitter | Victor, N.Y.
Grbic had a total of 22 kills in three matches last week to go with 14 digs, three block assists, and two solo blocks.

Koster recorded 31 assists, two kills, two service aces, and four digs in a 3-0 win over Kentucky State.

Kyran Versteegen, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Setter | Sittard, Netherlands
Versteegen recorded a .272 hitting percentage in the Spartans’ 1-1 week, including a. 440 percentage in a 3-0 win over Kentucky State. The St. Thomas Aquinas freshman totaled 21 kills, five assists, a service ace, two digs, two solo blocks and a block assist over six sets.

Freshman | Outside Hitter | Cedarburg, Wisc.
Wiley recorded a team-best 12 kills, .526 attack percentage, six digs, and two assists in a 3-0 win over Kentucky State.
