Chester averaged 27.0 points per game on 57.6% shooting with 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in a 1-1 week for the Knights. Chester began the week recording a career-best 28 points on 52.9% shooting with six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in the victory over Mercy Wednesday evening. Against STAC, the junior recorded 26 points 62.5% shooting with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal Saturday afternoon.

James Patterson, St. Thomas Aquinas

Patterson averaged 24.5 points per game with 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game over two contests last week for STAC, now on a six-game winning streak. The sophomore guard/forward tallied 28 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out an assist, and forced two steals in 18 minutes in a 99-74 win over Molloy before recording 21 points, nine rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes in a 89-76 win over Queens. Patterson also shot 54.0 percent (20-of-37) from the field and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the foul line in a 2-0 week for the Spartans, who sit atop the conference standings with a 9-1 ECC record. He leads the conference ranks fourth nationally in scoring with 23.8 points per game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Omar Nkonde, Queens
Junior | Forward | Harlem, N.Y.
Nkonde averaged 10.0 points on 57.1% shooting, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Knights. Against Mercy, Nkonde recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and a career-best four blocks as Queens defeated the Mavericks, 96-84, Wednesday evening. Against STAC, the junior recorded his first career double-double with a career-best 12 points on 66.7% shooting to go with 10 rebounds, two blocks, and two assists. For the week, Nkonde pulled down 18 rebounds (10 defensive) to go with six blocked shots.
Rookie of the Week
Rob Matos, Molloy
Freshman | Guard | Fredericksburg, Va.
Matos averaged 15.0 points per game on the week to go with 11 assists, nine rebounds, and four steals. The Molloy freshman matched a career-high eight assists for the third time this season against St. Thomas Aquinas before dropping his 10th game of at least 20 points (22) in a 79-66 win over Mercy. Matos ranks second in the ECC behind Patterson in scoring with 18.4 points per game.

In the Firebirds win over Roberts Wesleyan, Curtis flirted with a triple-double, recording 13 points (shooting 45.4%), 11 assists, nine rebounds and six steals.
Isaiah Elmore, Roberts Wesleyan

Elmore was dominate in an 83-74 win over CSI on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 30 points to go with six rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
Justin Hemphill, Daemen
Senior | Forward | Buffalo, N.Y.
Hemphill headed up a defense that limited D'Youville to just 64 points and 32-percent shooting (23-of-71) in Daemen's lone game last week, an 84-64 victory. The Daemen senior scored 15 points and added nine rebounds, four blocks and two steals.
Matt Lane, Molloy
Junior | Center | Bethpage, N.Y.
Lane averaged 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game on the week, putting up a double-double in a 79-66 win over Mercy with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The junior also tallied seven blocks on the week, four against St. Thomas Aquinas and three against the Mavericks.
Alex May, Mercy
Senior | Guard | Englewood, N.J.
May averaged a team-high 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in two games this week. The senior opened the week with 15 points and 12 rebounds for his first career double-double at Queens on Wednesday. The guard ended the week with a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds with three assists against Molloy on Saturday.
Rich Smith, St. Thomas Aquinas

Smith averaged 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game over two contests last week for STAC. The sophomore guard picked up five points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out seven assists and forced two steals in 20 minutes in a 99-74 win over Molloy before recording 10 points, four rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 32 minutes in a 89-76 win over Queens.
