ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week 11

Bowler of the Week

Laura Clark, Bryant
Sophomore | Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.

Leading all ECC bowlers with a 21.45 overall average per frame, Clark had an impressive weekend at the Mount Shootout, helping her team place seventh overall for the highest finish out of all conference teams present. Individually, Clark averaged 21.72 in Baker and 21.02 in team, finishing 14th overall individually on Saturday. Additionally, the Bryant sophomore posted an impressive 67% Baker double average, a makeable spare percentage of 84% in Baker, and a 100% for multi-pin spare conversions in Baker. Clark had an overall fill percentage of 82% or higher for the weekend, playing a huge role in the success of the Bulldogs, and also bowled 245 to help the Bulldogs achieve their new high set of 1,095 on Saturday.


Rookie of the Week

Maggie Thompson, Bryant
Freshman | Brick, N.J.

Thompson had another solid weekend with the Bulldogs, averaging 19.53 for Baker and 20.96 for team, finishing 17th overall individually on Saturday. The Bryant freshman was very consistent, posting an 88% overall fill percentage for team and an 82% for Baker. Thompson was 80% or better for single-pin spare conversions for the weekend and 100% on multi-pin spares on Saturday. She also filled 100% of her tenth frames on Saturday, posting clutch games, which included a 236 in the Mount St. Mary's match. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Bailey Glass, Daemen
Sophomore | North Tonawanda, N.Y.

Glass earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after leading Daemen to a second-place showing at the Brother Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament. The Daemen sophomore rolled a 224 in a win over Baldwin Wallace and followed up with a 234 in a win over Penn State Behrend, the highest score by a Daemen bowler that day. Glass competed in all five matches and totaled 960 pins for a 192.0 average, which ranked third among all bowlers.

Sabrina Palmer, Daemen
Freshman | Waterloo, N.Y.

Palmer earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after helping the Wildcats place second at the Brother Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament. The Daemen freshman bowled a 216 in a win over Penn State Behrend and a 213 in a loss to Pitt.-Greensburg. Palmer competed in four of the five matches and totaled 752 pins, and her average of 188.0 was fifth best among bowlers that competed in at least four matches.

Ahmielle Roberts, Mercyhurst
Sophomore | Erie, Pa.

Roberts averaged 21.91 pins per frame in Baker games across 59 frames and averaged 15.32 pins per frame in team play across 19 frames at the 6th Annual Mount Shootout. The Mercyhurst sophomore posted an overall fill percentage of 88.1 in Baker games and an average first ball of 9.39 in Baker and 8.84 in team play and totaled 43 strikes on the weekend.

Samantha Strebel, Mercyhurst
Graduate Student | Harrisville, Utah

Strebel averaged over 20 points per frame in both Baker and team play and had an overall fill percentage of 82.1 in Baker and 84.0 in team play at the 6th Annual Mount Shootout. The Mercyhurst graduate student had an average first ball over nine in both formats and totaled 70 strokes on the weekend overall, with 42 in Baker.
