WALTHAM, MA – The D'Youville University Women's Volleyball team ended their season at the NCAA Tournament with a 3-0 loss to a tough No. 1 Bentley University.

Set One
The Saints got out to a good start staying close with the No. 1 seed of the East Region as the game tied at eight. Back-to-back kill from Cameron Ulinski (Parkland, FL / Marjory Stoneman Douglas) gave the Saints the 10-8 lead. The Falcons came back strong on offense and put up an eight-point run to propel them to a 21-12 lead. Kills from Madeline O'Brien (East Amherst, N.Y. / Clarence), Giselle Ramirez (Miami, FL / School for Advanced Studies), and Maddie Boglev (Hamburg, N.Y. / St. Mary's) helped keep the Saints in the game, but the Falcons would take set one 25-16.

Set Two
The Falcons carried their momentum into the second set and quickly jumped ahead 16-4. The Saints got three back following a Falcons error along with kills from O'Brien and Mitha Hatwar (Columbus, OH / Olentangy Liberty) to trail 16-7. The Saints closed the gap to six following another kill from O'Brien and two service aces from Hatwar to bring the score to 17-11. The Flacons put the pressure back on scoring four in-a-row to bring the score to 23-13. The Saints got two back off a Falcons service error and a kill from Ramirez, but Bentley would take the second set 25-15.

Set Three
The Saints took the 4-1 lead in the third set following a kill from Ulinksi and two service aces from Emma Wlostowski (Alden, N.Y. / Alden), but the Falcons came right back to take the 8-6 lead. Bentley continued a 10-1 run to extend their lead to 18-8. The Saints managed three more points off Bentley errors, but the Falcons would take the third set 25-11 and the match 3-0. The loss to No. 1 Bentley would be the final game for the Saints in their strong 2024 season.
