NEW ORLEANS, LA – For the first time this indoor season and fifth time in her career, Roberts Wesleyan graduate student pole vaulter Brynn King has been selected the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Women's National Athlete of the Week. King also earned national weekly honors four consecutive weeks last year: December 5, December 12, January 16 and January 23.
King cleared 4.45m (14' 7 1/4") in the pole vault this past weekend at the Susquehanna Early Season Invite and Multi, notching the eighth best mark in NCAA DII history.
That, coupled with her season-opening 4.60m (14' 9") at the Akron Haynes Lancaster Open two weeks ago, gives her 10 of the top-11 marks on the all-time chart.
