DiCintio scored 17 points in each of Daemen’s two ECC wins over STAC and Mercy this weekend, totaling eight triples, seven rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. The Wildcats’ graduate student guard hit five three-pointers against the Mavs.
Defensive Player of the Week
Claire Pikett, Daemen
Junior | F | Holland, NY
Pikett averaged 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.0 blocks to go with 17.0 points per game in Daemen's pair of ECC victories over STAC and Mercy this weekend. Pikett began the weekend with 17 points and seven rebounds (all defensive) to go with three steals and two blocks in the 58-50 win over the Spartans. She then fielded her first career double-double in Sunday's 14-point win over the Mavs, 58-44, totaling 17 points and 10 rebounds (eight defensive) with two steals and two blocks.
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Chio, Queens
Freshman | G | North Vancouver, Canada
In two games, Chio averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game for the Knights. The Queens rookie began the week recording 15 points, three assists, three rebounds, and two steals in non-conference play against American International on Monday. In the 78-54 ECC victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday, Chio tied a career-high 16 points with a career-best four made three-pointers to go with six assists, three steals, three rebounds, and one block as Queens improved to 2-0 in conference play.

Jalea Abrams, Queens
Sophomore | G | Elmira, NY
Abrams averaged 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in a 1-1 week for the Knights. The sophomore began the week recording 14 points, two assists, one steal, and one block against AIC on Monday evening in non-conference play. In the ECC victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday evening, Abrams notched a game-high 18 points to go with six rebounds, four steals, four assists, and one block as Queens improved to 2-0 in conference play.
Amani Abuhatab, Mercy
Sophomore | G | West Haven, CT
Abuhatab averaged a team-high 16.7 points per game on 56.3 percent shooting with 6.7 rebounds per game as Mercy went 2-1 on the week. The sophomore opened the week with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds in the win over Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday. The guard then had a game-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting with four rebounds in the win at D'Youville on Friday. Abuhatab ended the week with a team-high 15 points and nine rebounds at Daemen on Sunday.
Nkiru Awaka, Queens
Sophomore | F | Hyde Park, NY
Awaka averaged 6.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Knights. The sophomore recorded 11 rebounds and two steals against AIC in non-conference play on Monday evening. In the ECC victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday evening, Awaka tallied 12 points on 71.4 percent shooting from the field with seven rebounds, four steals, and one block as Queens improved to 2-0 in conference play.
Sofie Fuglsang, D’Youville
Senior | F | Oberanven, Luxembourg
Fuglsang averaged 11.5 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game, and 3.0 steals per game in two games for D'Youville this weekend. On Friday against Mercy, she scored 18 points on 4-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc and recorded five steals, both career-high totals.
Allie Hall, D’Youville
Freshman | F | Rochester, NY
Hall averaged 10.0 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game in two games for the Saints this weekend. On Friday against Mercy, she posted the best performance of her career, scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, both career-highs.
Laci Johnson, District of Columbia
Senior | G | Herndon, VA
Johnson came off the bench to post a game-high 20 points, shooting 50 percent from the field, in the Firebirds’ loss to Staten Island. She also added two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Rosa Rizzitelli, Molloy
Junior | G | Derby, CT
Rizzitelli led the Lions with 16 points in a victory at Roberts Wesleyan. The junior shot 7-of-12 from the floor while adding six rebounds, five steals, three assists, and one block.
Jaclyn Stanavich, Mercy
Senior | G | Amsterdam, NY
Stanavich averaged 14.0 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting with a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game as Mercy went 2-1 on the week. The senior opened the week with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals in the win over Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday. The guard then had a double-double by way of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the win over D'Youville on Friday. Stanavich ended the week with 12 points and five rebounds at Daemen on Sunday.
