ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Six

Bowler of the Week

Maggie Thompson, Bryant
Sophomore | Brick, NJ

Thompson had a strong performance on Saturday at the Bowl for the Cure Tournament. The Bryant sophomore bowled 1,033 for five games with a 206.60 average, earning a third-place overall finish and a spot on the All-Tournament team. Thompson helped the Bulldogs earn third overall at the tournament with a strike percentage of 46.0 and overall fill percentage of 88.0.


Rookie of the Week

Lea Whittey, Bryant
Freshman | Assonet, MA

Whittey played a large role in the success of the Bulldogs at the Bowl for the Cure Tournament on Sunday. The Bryant freshman averaged 21.25, with an overall fill percentage of nearly 94.0 while converting 100 percent on single pin spares for the day. Whittey helped Bryant bowl a season-high set of 1014, earning a win against nationally-ranked No. 14 Merrimack. She also helped the Bulldogs bowl a season-high baker game of 258 against nationally-ranked Sacred Heart.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Mollie Gizicki, Daemen
Graduate Student | Brighton, MI

Gizicki led all Daemen bowlers with an average pinfall of 199 in three matches against Roberts Wesleyan; the 199 pins are her highest average this season in three matches. The Daemen graduate student knocked down 204 pins to begin the day before following that with 202- and 191-pin performances in the Wildcats’ 2-1 victory over the Redhawks.

Danielle Jaeger, Roberts Wesleyan
Senior | Lockport, NY

Jaeger rolled a 203.0 average in three games of the dual meet with Daemen on Saturday afternoon. Her high was a 214 in the second game of the day, and she finished the match with a 43.5 strike percentage and an 84.6 spare conversion rate.

Kaylee Stephens, Roberts Wesleyan
Freshman | Brockport, NY

Stephens led Roberts Wesleyan with a personal-best score of 227 in the opening game of a three-game dual match with Daemen on Saturday afternoon. The 227 was the highest single score of the day for the Redhawks.
