ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Four

Bowler of the Week

Madison Gentes, Saint Anselm
Senior | Bedford, NH
Gentes led the way for the Hawks at the inaugural Ebonite Hawks Soar Higher Open, shooting 925 across five games (185 average) on Saturday. She bowled a 224 against Fairleigh Dickinson to solidify the team's win and secure her spot in the top four individual bowlers overall, which earned her a place on the All-Tournament Team. On Sunday, Saint Anselm captured two wins in baker play, a 916-912 win over No. 14 Merrimack and a victory over William Smith by a score of 777-747. The win over Merrimack was the program's third win against a top 25 opponent in school history, all which have come over the last two weeks. 


Rookie of the Week

Michaela Palumbo, Molloy
Freshman | Mineola, NY

Palumbo led the Lions with an 8.67 first ball average in Baker at the Dezy Strong Baker play last weekend. The freshman also led the squad with a 19 pin average per frame.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Emily Kulkarni, Molloy
Junior | Lake Ronkonkoma, NY

Kulkarni totaled a 8.48 first ball average at the Dezy Strong Baker. The junior averaged 18.04 per frame on the weekend.

Katy McNemar, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Chambersburg, PA

McNemar was the top newcomer performer for the Hawks at the inaugural Ebonite Hawks Soar Higher Open, shooting 838 across five games (167.6 average) on Saturday. She bowled a 185 against No. 14 Merrimack  and finished 11th in the field. On Sunday, McNemar helped Saint Anselm capture two wins in baker play, a 916-912 win over No. 14 Merrimack and a victory over William Smith by a score of 777-747. The win over Merrimack was the program's third win against a top 25 opponent in school history, all which have come over the last two weeks.
