FLUSHING, NY – The stage is set.
For the third year in a row, Queens and St. Thomas Aquinas will battle for the conference crown as the Knights and Spartans blanked their semifinal opponents on Friday afternoon and earned their spots in Saturday evening’s 2024 ECC Women’s Tennis Championship Final. First serve for top-seeded QC and second-seeded STAC is slated for 5:00 PM at the QC Tennis Bubble.
The match will be streamed free of charge on the ECC Sports Network.

After battling for the doubles point, St. Thomas Aquinas clinched all three singles points as the second-seeded Spartans earned a 4-0 victory over the third-seeded Firebirds in the 2024 ECC Women’s Tennis Championship morning semifinal at the Queens College Tennis Bubble on Friday morning. With their seventh victory of the season, STAC (7-1, 4-1 ECC) now advances to its third consecutive ECC Final.
STAC earned the first doubles win at No. 3 as All-ECC First Team pick Elise Semmartin and Mar Caneves defeated Lina Benjelloun and Nadja Zmukic, 6-0.
UDC (6-3, 4-1 ECC) battled back to take the second doubles win at No. 1 as All-ECC First Team selection Polina Zelentsova and Desire Parn took down All-ECC First Teamer Courtney Fyvie and All-ECC Second Team honoree Elita Silins, 6-2.
However, the Spartans earned the win and clinching point at No. 2 as ECC Player and Rookie of the Year Anaya Brons and Kateryna Kryuchkova won over All-ECC Second Team pick Celia Bastin and Claudia Bahamon Lopez, 6-2.
STAC then earned wins at No. 3, No. 6, and No. 5 singles as Fyvie defeated Bahamon Lopez, 6-1, 4-2 (retired), All-ECC Second Teamer Ombeline Robilliart took down Zmukic, 6-0, 6-1, and Kryuchkova battled Benjelloun to a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

Top-seeded Queens is headed back to its 13th consecutive ECC Final after defeating fourth-seeded Daemen, 4-0, in the 2024 ECC Women’s Tennis Championship afternoon semifinal at the Queens College Tennis Bubble on Friday afternoon. The Knights are on the hunt for their 10th ECC crown, and first since 2020.
Queens earned the doubles point when Apolline Lamy and Eva Rivoal defeated Daemen’s Kitsa Scime and Yinett Del Leon, 6-1, at No. 2 and All-ECC Second Team pick Kyra Bergmann and Sakura Saito took down Carly Armitage and Stephanie Baier, 6-2, at No. 3.
The Knights then got their trio of singles wins from their No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 players as Apolline Lamy shut out Armitage, 6-0, 6-0, All-ECC Second Team selection Saga Berggren blanked Bella Bjerkan, 6-0, 6-0, and All-ECC Second Team pick Regina Ruiz took down Baier, 6-2, 6-0.
