Offensive Player of the Week
Harry Cooke, Queens
Junior | Forward | Market Drayton, England
Cooke led the way with an ECC-high 10 points on five goals, both game-winners, in a 2-0 conference week for the Knights. Cooke began the week by recording his second brace of the year in a 4-0 victory over District of Columbia on Wednesday. In a thrilling 6-2 comeback victory over Staten Island on Saturday, Cooke notched his second hat trick of the year, with all three goals coming in the first half, to help Queens improve to 4-0 in ECC play. In that match, the Queens junior buried two free kick opportunities and a header in the first 39 minutes of play to break the program’s single-season points record with his 29th point of the year.
Defensive Player of the Week
Eirik Elvestad, Mercy
Senior | Goalkeeper | Oslo, Norway
Elvestad went 1-0-1 in goal with 10 saves, a .833 save percentage, 1.00 goals-against average and one shutout. The senior opened the week with three saves and two goals allowed in the 2-2 draw at Molloy on Wednesday. The goalkeeper ended the week with a game-high seven saves to earn the shutout win over Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Rookie of the Week
Callum Hunt, Molloy
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Norwich, England
Hunt made two starts in goal for Molloy in a 1-0-1 ECC week. The freshman made a season-high eight saves against No. 14 Mercy on Wednesday, including two in the final 20 seconds, to secure a 2-2 draw. As an encore, Hunt collected his third shutout of the season against Daemen on Saturday, making two saves to lead Molloy to a 2-0 victory.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Carlos Almeida, Queens
Graduate Student | Forward | São Paulo, Brazil
Almeida notched a goal and an assist in a 2-0 ECC week for the Knights. Almeida played a pivotal role in the Knights’ victory over Staten Island, producing a game-tying assist before the graduate student scored his first goal of the year in the second half to help Queens improve to 4-0 in ECC play.
Rafael Capella, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Defender | Sao Paulo, Brazil
With STAC playing a man down, Capella’s first collegiate goal came as the Spartans’ game-winning goal on a free kick from the top of the 18 in a thrilling 2-1 victory over D'Youville on Saturday.
Johannes Hanken Tjostheim, Mercy
Junior | Forward | Aalesund, Norway
Hanken Tjostheim recorded a team-high three goals and seven points as Mercy went 1-0-1 on the week. The junior recorded a goal in Mercy's 2-2 tie at Molloy on Wednesday and ended the week with two goals and an assist in the Mavericks' 5-0 win over Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. Hanken Tjostheim now leads Division II with 13 goals and 29 points.
Joaquim Johnson, Queens

In a 2-0 week for the Knights, Johnson played a critical part in helping Queens produce one shutout and a comeback victory. Johnson opened the week by helping Queens produce its second straight ECC shutout as the Knights held UDC to 10 shots and two shots on goal to earn a 4-0 ECC victory. On Saturday, the Brooklyn, NY native and his defense would hold Staten Island to seven shots and four shots on goals as Queens earned a 6-2 victory to improve to 4-0 in ECC play.
Myles Palmer, Roberts Wesleyan
Sophomore | Forward | Fairport, NY
Palmer scored twice, including his team-leading ninth goal of the season, as Roberts Wesleyan scored a 2-1 win over Daemen on the road in a mid-week conference matchup.
Matthew Solorio, D’Youville
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Kansas City, MO
Solorio recorded a career-high eight saves in D'Youville's 2-1 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday.
