For the seventh consecutive year, the number of honorees at the ECC’s 11 member institutions and three associate members has increased (1,102 in 2013-14; 979 in 2012-13; 759 in 2011-12; 678 in 2010-11; 654 in 2009-10; 617 in 2008-09; 613 in 2007-08).

“Congratulations to all of the men and women who earned spots on this year’s ECC Commissioner’s Honor Roll,” stated Dranoff.  “Their efforts in the class room, along with all the contributions they make to their campus community in terms of service and athletics will prepare all of these individuals well for life after college.”

LIU Post led all ECC institutions for the fourth consecutive year, placing 169  student-athletes on the Honor Roll. Bridgeport finished second behind LIU Post with 129 student-athletes honored, while Molloy was third with 122. The Commissioner’s Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 or better cumulative grade point average. This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the East Coast Conference’s mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.
