Bridgeport, CT- University of Bridgeport Director of Athletics Jay Moran announced today that the Purple Knights will now have a new logo specifically designed for athletics.

Said Moran, “We are excited to unveil our new athletics logo. It will be a tremendous asset in helping our efforts in marketing and promotions. It’s great to have a new look as we continue to promote the successes of our student-athletes and our programs.”

Along with releasing its new logo, the University of Bridgeport is also in the process of developing a new athletics web site in conjunction with Presto Sports. UB new athletics site which will have the web address of www.ubknights.com will be launched in the coming weeks.

Bridgeport fall sports teams begin to report to campus for preseason  training for their 2010 seasons on August 15th, and teams will being regular season play after September 1st.
