Mercy Lacrosse Programs to be Honored at Lizards Game

Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - The Mercy College Department of Athletics cordially invites the entire college community to Mercy College Day at the Long Island Lizards, on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Mercy will be promoted in conjunction with the Lizards lacrosse game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, which begins at 8:00 p.m., at Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

The Lizards will be celebrating the recently completed inaugural men’s and women’s lacrosse seasons at Mercy College. Additionally, Mercy College is kicking off the 60th anniversary of the school’s founding.

“We recruit Long Island heavily,” said Francesca DeLorenzo, the Senior Women’s Administrator and women’s lacrosse coach for the Mavericks. “We have a large presence on Long Island, as we are thrilled the Lizards have accepted us into their community.”

In association with the Lizards, Mercy College will be involved in the festivities of the evening, including promotions prior to and during the game.
